I still haven't found the two pneumatic 'T' pieces...

I know where they are. Or at least I have a theory.

I figure the only way for those binoculars to be attached there is the t-piece.

(...) I was wondering why Lego didn't provide any decent top view pics. The gap down the middle looks quite glaring in this pic: (URL) looks 2+ studs wide at the foot of the superstructure. It's still a beauty, tho. I still haven't found the two (...) (22 years ago, 18-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)
