I'm sure it wont be long after someone gets one of these in their hands that
someone comes up with a modification to cut down on that gap. Still lovely
and awesome for a LEGO model. I wont be complaining (except about how I can
barely afford one...)

PS: The pics of the lifesized Silver Champion blew me away!

I was wondering why Lego didn't provide any decent top view pics.
The gap down the middle looks quite glaring in this pic:

It looks 2+ studs wide at the foot of the superstructure.
It's still a beauty, tho.

I still haven't found the two pneumatic 'T' pieces...
