Ken, have you ever REALLY looked closely at the Falcon? The ship is covered
in oil smears, laser burns, and DIRT! It ain't a shiny, new YT-1300. I think
the dirt and discoloration adds to Ben's version, especially since the
Falcon isn't white to begin with (the ILM models were painted an off-white
which was meant to look light grey on film). If you think his is dirty,
you'd REALLY be repulsed by mine:

Now, if this were, say, a TIE fighter, it would look bad in that condition,
as the Empire keeps it's stuff pretty clean! Lucas' "used universe" concept
is exemplified by the Rebellion's vehicles, and by private ships like the
Falcon. Besides, it provides a use for all those old pieces that would be
sitting around...well, collecting dust otherwise! :)
