I guess they have to charge extra to cover the license with Lucas.
Here in Sweden the LEGO prices are even higher [1] and I generally
refuse to pay more then 0.10$ US per piece.
[1] 7163 Republic Gunship is 1299 Skr in Sweden, which is aprox. 126$.
One US$ translates into 10.271 Skr. A pretty convenient fact since
that means I refuse to pay more then 1 Skr for 1 LEGO brick.
So I'd excpect the 7163 to be a 1260 pcs. set, not 686.
S@H US tells me the 7163 is USD 89.99 and that means the Swedish
prices are 140% of the US prices and I know the salarys don't reflect
this since US jobs generally pay more. Perhaps it's time to move? Now
that would be a radicall LEGO hobby desicion - move to cheaper bricks
