Re: 10026 Special Edition Naboo Starfighter

(...) I wonder if LEGO is thinking about making the Naboo Royal (Queen's) Starship aswell. Or the new one that was in EP II. Here is hoping for lots of crome plates. Dave (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Hi here!

Hey Tim! Yes the upper body bends. It is mounted on a worm gear that acts as the spine of the Mecha. The Little Bot Series and the Gomgile all have this feature. (URL) Gla, Bryce McGlone, Chris Snead and Dave "Lego Mecha" Johann have all recently (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Please Note: This is copied from www.fbtb.com ---...--- 10026 SE Naboo Starfighter 06.18.02 Tim The SE stands for 'Special Edition' and this is definitely the case with this set. Coming in at 187 pieces and an affordable $39.99 MSRP, you'll be able (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars) !!

  Re: Hi here!

Thanx, man! I checked out your "Little bot" stuff a while ago, and man was I impressed! Especially on how flexible/posable they all are. I couldn't get the mech I am working on right now (pix hopefully today) to do that in years! I'll have to try (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: NEW MOC: Bespin Duel

Brucey-Wan, Very cool. That's what I'm saying when I say we need more Locations from the SW universe. Bruce (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Great! Welcome Tim, of course I remember you from Geordan's Folder. He's a good builder. We look forward to your Mecha! Legomaster www.mylegomaster.com (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

  Hi here!

Hi there all you brick fans! I'm a new lugnet person and I just wanted to introdece myself so you wouldn't go "what the heck!!?!?! Who in the name of Bricks is this loon!?!!?!" whenever I post. I am going to be mainly writing in SW and mecha, but I (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

(...) Hi Gabe, That could certainly be the case. I think I am correct in stating that we came to our own conclusions regarding the bricks used for sculptures turning up at LLC as bulk bricks. TLC could very well be doing as you mentioned. Thanks (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

(...) This is crazy. With all the AFOLs around, not to mention parents with money, why isn't TLC auctioning off these sculptures? They could donate the proceeds (or part of the proceeds) to a children's charity of some sort. From a PR stand point (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

(...) Hmm, I wonder if the teeth marks in your bricks match my teeth? We didn't locate the Brick Separater until we were finished... Jonathan (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

Since the 2x10 bricks I've got from the LLC shop appear played with, I speculate they came from a sculpture... maybe the ultimate resting place is the bulk bins at LLC. (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

(...) A little further to this.... I helped dis-assemble the Yoda when it was in NYC. I helped pack it up onto skids as well. If I recall correctly, there were 3 or 4 skids full of the bricks used to make the sculpture (plus the light saber--which (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

Ahui - Latest I heard, I think from a model designer there, they recently went through the process of getting rid of a lot of old models they were never going to re-use. I don't remember details, but for some reason this sticks in my mind. -Tim (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Touring Yoda's final resting place?

(...) From what I have been told by others who have been lucky enough to visit the LEGO's sculpture dept. most (95%) big sculptures used in displaye/events/etc.. end up getting boxed and stored away. When Tim C. (from www.ldraw.org) visited the (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Mace Windu

Well, I woudn't go so far as saying LEGO should not produce color minifigs. I think, like many others and LEGO itself, that yellow skins for all minifigs is the best choice. It avoids dealing with racism issues and other topics like that. But, in (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Jabba's Sail Barge and Episode 2 customs

(...) Wow! That's really great. I would definitely buy one of those. The only thing missing to make it more like an actual set LEGO is gaps in the hull all over the place. :p -Jason +---...---+ Jason Spears MichLUG - (URL) Page - (URL) Store - (URL) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Touring Yoda's final resting place?

A question: Will the touring Yoda have a final resting place that anyone knows of? I saw in these pics (URL) this sculpture has some history. Couple the signatures, the fact it commemerates the release of Star Wars Episode II and the new lego line (...)
