Nathan & All,

In lugnet.space, Nathan Falslev writes:

"B: Castle as a kid.
I had a yellow castle in my office for many years when I was a marketing
consultant. I now have broadened to trains and space, etc... "

That's quoted from Brad Justus of Lego Direct.  First he mentions Castle,
then Trains, then Space.  That doesn't actually mean anything except maybe
that those are the most prevalent(sp?) themes on their minds.

Indeed.

Hey, you could be on to something, dude. I was thinking Space would be next
because there's plenty of new Train stuff in the latest catalog. But then
again, Train represents a big group of AFOLs--the target market for these
re-releases.

Right, being a train, town, and space head, it will really hurt the wallet,
but I am not complaining. It is great to see more people experience the
Metroliner and Club Car. I just bought the Gaurded Inn for fun. : )

I have a feeling when OUR time comes it will be the Galaxy Explorer because
that's been such a hot seller on Ebay. I dig the set because it has so many
great pieces such the landing pad, crater plate, a bunch of great printed
pieces, and four minifigs (all my white space dudes have worn down logos).
More wishful thinking for ya!

My white ones are pretty much the same. I *wish* it was the 6990 Futuron
monorail, but since they can't get more motores, I guess that is DOA. I
would love the Galaxy Explorer, I never had one, or perhaps maybe the MCM.
Really, I would be happy with any set from Space series. I am really happy
to see this, I think we will have much to rejoice. : )

I don't know if this would happen or not, but I would love to see a Legends
minifig line, just take a theme, whether it is castle, space, train, or
town, and have a 5 pack of minifigs from that era. BT1, BT2, Black Knights,
etc. That could supplement the Legends series as well. Futuron pack would
always be my first preference, though! ; )

(...) Hell yeah! I think minifigs are perfect for Shop At Home! For sure they'll sell like crazy, especially the one's you mentioned. Futuron would be great but I'd also dig some Classic Space dudes because a lot of mine are so worn out. All the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.space)
