Deep Space Explorer MOC —John D. Forinash
Well, after my frequent trips to the colonies, the colonial government decided to hire me on for a deep space exploration journey. I snagged some pictures of the ship we'll be on. It's a New Plymouth _Explorer_ class (I really hope they change that (...) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.space) !

I just saw this on brickshelf, so I thought I'd drop in here to see if you had posted about it. :^) That's a very innovative cockpit design. I like it. Very unusual. "Tex" is a nice addition too. ;^) Thanks for the pics! ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) It came about by accident; I was playing with wall panel modules and the plates with the 90 degree bend in them were the ones still on the bench that I hadn't yet sorted... :) I'm still not happy with the way the unit mounts (detail can be (...)         Re: Deep Space Explorer MOC —Paul Hanson
(...) Very nice design! I like the way that the cockpit is on the diagonal - very original. Nice interior detailing, too. (...) Ooooh! Is this a hint of more cool pictures to come. I can't wait! Thanks - Paul (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: Deep Space Explorer MOC —John D. Forinash
(...) Thanks! I'll probably work some more on the interior, though-- I simply didn't post pictures of stuff I really didn't like, and in one case specifically stuck in a couple plates to block view of stuff that was really substandard. One of the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) *snip* That's a very cool ship! All of the detail, inside and out, is nicely done and the cockpit's design is great. Nice commentary too. ;) -- dataAndrew (URL) (24 years ago, 17-Feb-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) They're actually trans-orange, but my computer camera's colorblind. They came from a 6973 Deep Freeze Defender. I would have preferred to do them in trans-blue or trans-antifreeze like the other windows on the ship, but I didn't have the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.space)
