  Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

Hi Everyone, Stealth Vessel of the Crimson Order has been uploaded to my Spacecraft section, or just click "what's new" Enjoy. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (23 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Now that is slick. I love the silhouette - it reminds me of the old Microprose game F-19 Stealth fighter. The Royal Guards look awesome as marauder(1) armor, too. And that tandem cockpit is just cool. An awesome job, as usual, Mark (and to be (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

Very Cool! Is it just me or is there something in 2 seated large fighters that make you weak in the knees? I really like the angled cockpit by the way. --Kyle (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Very cool! I love the sleek and menacing look of it. As Kyle said, the angled cockpit looks great. It goes great with the angled wings. One question on the wings, do they really hold the ship up that well? That ship looks pretty heavy for (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Four click hinges on each side hold it up just fine. (...) Good eye. ;^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (23 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) I'm not sure what to say about your models. I've been browsing lugnet since october or november of 2000 and noticed that you've recieved most all the praise that a mortal man can recieve. Anything more would place you on an equal footing with (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Wow, that's awesome! I love the cockpit design. Be sure to strap Timmy in tightly, or not. ;) -- I want my tombstone to say "<-- I'm with stupid." (23 years ago, 7-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) I don't know if I'm on equal footing with Karim yet. ;^) (...) Thanks! (...) Hmm... I hadn't realized that was becoming "trademark" but I suppose I just can't resist putting little bits of techno-junk in at least one place. :^) (...) :^) Well, (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) I have to agree, Mark! I think that there should be more non-miltary models getting posted. Military fighters seem to be the easiest military ship to build because they are small and relatively light on the number of pieces, but there is so (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) What I'd really love to see is something akin to the way the Star Furies launch from Babylon 5. They're mounted on pivots, and when deploying, a door opens below them and the Star Furies swing down and shoot straight out. That way you don't (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Actually, there's more than just an asthetic or flight control reason for B5's Cobra bays to act like they do. At the time B5 is built, the Earth Alliance only has centrifugal artificial gravity- ie, they generate gravity by spinning sections. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

Mark, Very nice. I like the way the ship has a cool overall shape that is made with lots of nice little details. Like your last freighter, the fuctional interior adds to the model. I have always hade trouble putting interiors in my ships, you do it (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Launch Mechanisms (was Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01)

(...) I actually prefer the fighter launch mechanisms of the colonial forces in Battlestar Gallactica... they get shot out of tubes like a cannon ball... of course, doing that in Lego would be a bit difficult... <G> I think if I ever build a carrier (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creation Update! 1/5/01

(...) Actually, I was just thinking about that a couple days ago. The two fighters from the Deep Freeze Defender are very compact. Why not mount a squadron of them on the underside of a large carrier, and modify the rear of each one so the pilots (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
