What I found rather strange, though, was that after the astronauts
boarded Discovery and released oxygen in the ship, they just took their
helmets off and started breathing! Wouldn't the air be filled with
bacteria from rotten food supplies or something? And what I find even
more strange, is that their lungs don't freeze to death, IIRC they say
that it's more than -100°C in there...

    Yeah. Not ot say that I'm talking down on star wars elements. I
personally like to hear whooshes and stuff in space event thought it doesn't
make sense. But not in a hard sci fi movie. Especially not the sequal to
2001. After all this however I still do like certain elements of the film. I
like the part when they were trying to board discovery and it was spinning
out of control.
