MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
Hey all, Yet another project I've lying around for months that I've finally photographed. I hope you enjoy my blast from the blast! (URL) I am just not getting how FTX works! Can someone please reply to this post and tell me exactly what I need to (...) (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space) !!

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —Nathan Todd
Looking good! (I can't view it through the sentimental eyes of a spacer so I may have missed a lot ; ) As for the FTX (warning advice from a man not to be trusted near a computer): I use this the reference card found (URL) here> and just follow it (...)          Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(...) (URL) Thanks, Nathan! After reading the other replies, I finally understood my error. I was typing correctly, but I'd negelected to select FTX from the Format menu. Dave S. (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —Bryan Wong
(...) I think what you've written is fine, but it appears that your message has been written in a Plain text format rather than FTX. If you post from lugnet itself through a web browser, there's a dropdown menu that allows you to select between (...) (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(URL) (...) Thanks, Bryan! I realized after reading all the responses that I was using the right formatting, but I had never paid attention to the Format selection! BTW, what did you think of the ship? :-) Dave S. (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —Jeff Findley
(...) I set my reply to use "Formatted text (FTX)" and your picture shows up just fine, so your formatting is o.k. You just forgot to set your posting to use "Formatted text (FTX)". Jeff (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(...) Aaaah, there it is! I thought I had to use some special characters as opposed to changing the Format setting (which I've never used before!). Thanks, Jeff! BTW, what did you think of the ship? :-) Dave S. (17 years ago, 10-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —Jeff Findley
(...) I did forget to comment on the ship, didn't I? For the most part, I like it. The colors are, of course, very good for a Classic Space creation. :-) I really like the detachable ship and the way that the two compartments seal after separation. (...)          Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(...) Thanks Jeff! At first I had a full layer of bricks between the plates on the big ship, but when I was working on the detachable ship I made the wings with just the one layer of plates and BOOM, another V-8 moment! (...) I'm not totally happy (...) (17 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(...) Thanks, Mark! I'm seriously debating whether or not to dismantle it. I may just hang it from my ceiling. Dave S. (17 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —Eric Sophie
David! I really love this Super Galaxy Explorer! Seeing this brought back so many memories. I like just about everything on it. I did think that the large slopes as the upper tail wings were a little bit out of place, but that is only because they (...) (17 years ago, 11-May-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: Super Galaxy Explorer —David Simmons
(...) Thanks! I was hesitant about using them because of their newness, but they cut a rather low profile (hyuk!) on the ship, so I let them stay. I tried to pick new parts that I felt would fit the Classic Space style. (...) Yes, the yellow and (...) (17 years ago, 12-May-07, to lugnet.space)
