  Re: I'm not Japanese. Really.

(...) I love when you post new stuff because it always inspires me to build. Everybody liked how you got the curved edge to follow the wedge plate, and that's also the first thing I noticed, but on my second pass I picked up a lot of good technique (...)   Space Exploration Monorail

My first foray into Space (URL) all I have to do is locate all the parts to build it. (Well its a train, and uses HiTech control units, and a few Technic parts, so the cross-postings seem vaguely relevant) William (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

(...) Yes, that's 1. (...) Correct! That's 2. (...) Nope. OK, class, pencils down. Here are the three others: It's Orbital in the goggles. Apex Twin is the Jesus-looking guy up front in black, and three nondescript guys toward the back are (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) He's just, you know, holding his hot dog. (...) Actually, Coke or Pepsi would not look dark enough in such small quantities, so I used some caramel syrup. Little did I know, the LEGO goblets do not actually hold liquids, and you can see (...) (20 years ago, 20-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

(...) I think I can see Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. Is it Daft Punk in the goggles? (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

LMAO again dude, you never fail to amuse me! I have to ask: What is C3PO doing? is he eating that, or is it supposed to be his <thing I can't mention here>???? And I'm assuming that the stuff in the glasses is actually either coke or pepsi, though I (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

Don't know why it's taken me so long to post these, but anyhow back in 2002 I was commisioned to do a couple of LEGO illustrations, one for SPIN magazine, one for Mojo magazine. Here they are for the first time online: (URL) This one was to (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX) !

Re: New MOCs: Three MB Modules and a Small Craft

(...) From the name, I expected this to be a souvenier shop selling baseball caps. When I saw "pins", I thought that meant it also sold little pins to wear on your hat or shirt (or trade to Disney World employees for cooler ones). This is infinitely (...)   New MOCs: Three MB Modules and a Small Craft

I've added a new MOC every day for the last four days: Tuesday, the Longdrop: (URL) Wednesday, Kap King (Moonbase Module): (URL) Thursday, Retail Container (Moonbase Module): (URL) Friday, Classic Monorail Terminal (Moonbase Module): (URL) With a (...)   Re: I'm not Japanese. Really.

(...) Excelent moc Takahiro, I like the location of the engines. They give the feel of the ship being able to speed to a construction site, and then use the smaller thrusters for more accurate work. I can imagine a Space Pirate space station with a (...) (20 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Galaxy Explorer

Thanks! I'm writing a small tutorial as part of a project for school, I'll go ahead and write a bigger one afterwards for anyone who wants to make their own. That should be up in around a week. For now though, the list is: MLCAD - Model Creation (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

Now that is cool! You've got to tell us what tools you used and how you did it. I had meant to give you a thumbs up on the first posting a while back, but I got sidetracked by work : ( Anyways... Nice! -JSM (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space)

(...) Haha. Thanks for the compliment. And now, something a bit more impressive: (URL) Post-Mod: (URL) Comments and critiques quite welcome. The possibilities are endless from here... -Stefan- (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Homeworld MOC

(...) (snip) Nifty. I've always wanted to do this sort of thing, but could never quite convince myself that I particularly felt like it. Nice to see someone doesn't share my lack of motivation. :P -Andrusi && Sanity not included. (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: I'm not Japanese. Really.

(...) As usual, the greebling is top-notch. And your color handling is amazing- you put in what might normally be too many colors on such a small model, but it just works. And you manage to make yellow come out right. I've got this huge pile of (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MBPD - 22nd precinct

(...) There are a ton of really cool details here- the radar, the cell, the drunken train guy heaving in the john... and way too many more to name. I wish I could see this in person. I'm thinking that you need to do some comics. The details here and (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

In lugnet.space, Soren Roberts wrote: snip (...) Yeah right Soren,or should I say Takashi? We all know that you're Japanese. It's nothing to be ashamed of. (...) It reminds me of the opening movie in StarCraft--the two guys going on an EVA to check out the debris--"'xplain to me... how we gonna get this stuff back home?" Very nicely done! Dave K (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Whoa, cool! From the pic in your post, I thought it might be a micro-scale ship of some sort. Very nice, though, whatever the scale. James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Clearly your fascination with grappling continues unabated. Perhaps you were a crustacean in a former life...
