I have never read it but I’ll be sure to check it out, thanks. Any source of inspiration is worth a read, I am mostly re-reading norse mythology for names and concepts.

   Piper had an interesting take on future warfare with faster than light travel but still using projectile weapons and nuclear missles. Might make an interesting basis for a faction (or series of factions as the Sword worlds provided many competing bands of Space Vikings.)

Have you ever read Space Viking by H. Beam Piper? I cannot see the words "Space Viking" without thinking of Lucas Trask on the bridge of the Nemesis. Piper had an interesting take on future warfare with faster than light travel but still using (...) (20 years ago, 11-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
