  Re: B.I. Joe Skyhawk

(...) Bah! Spam the boards - the masses grow weary of Larrygate. -nk p.s. - The Skyhawk was my second-favorite vehicle of all time, behind the Snowspeeder - and your rendition is great. I really like the tail & choice of canopy - it always drove me (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Yeah, remember that big white and blue space ship at Brickfest?

(...) Darn it - I was hoping that it represented the History Eraser Button from the Ren & Stimpy episode "Space Madness." Bob Of course, Stimpy HAD to push the button, and as a result, no more Ren & Stimpy. :-( (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Transparent Aluminum

(...) I think it also will have interesting implications for the aviation and automotive industries. Just think of the interesting window shapes you can make when you aren't limited by the brittle nature of glass. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

Re: Yeah, remember that big white and blue space ship at Brickfest?

(...) I was wondering when somebody would notice that. That's the button that transforms the Tribunal into fighting robot mode. Unfortunately, the designers of the ship and the transforming mechanism failed to create sufficient internal space for (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Transparent Aluminum

(...) I first read about this (in the real world, as opposed to Trek) a few years ago, but I hadn't heard anything since then. Then as now, it was touted as a more durable material for use in face shields in helmets and the like. I wonder if the guy (...)   Re: Moon shuttle

JP - nice shuttle! If Lincoln or Cadillac made a shuttle in the future, this would be it. It has the feel of a futuristic limo. Nice MOC! Could it be the Lincoln Galactic Navigator? ;-) Bill Pfund (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tanks or Power Armor

Great discussions and some good physics mentioned on these posts! As far as AI is concerned in the military, we get scarilly closer to this all the time. Read articles on Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs) like those that Boeing is building, among other (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Added off-topic.geek for the sheer implications of this. (...) Well now that is just crazy. This is the first time a treknology came true.   Re: B.I. Joe Skyhawk

Instead of spamming the boards with responses due to my ingrained laziness, perhaps I'll just collect them here... GA: totally...it was the perfect 'car trip' vehicle. a little tip o' the combat helmet to the skid pile-on feature of the original..a (...)   Re: All-Natural Space Travel

(...) Hey, this is great! I deffinately fits into the space hippy theme. It reminds me alot of one of those "Art Cars" you see from time to time (there are some contests around here). I like the addition of the crystals under the pilot dome too. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Hey Jean, thanks. Those Bionicle masks seem to make great cockpits for PAs. Takes a bit of doing and imagination to cover the "eye wholes" though. Cheers. (21 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Tribute to Masamune Shirow

(...) Hello Kyle, thanks for responding. (...) 'sob' I have tears rolling down my cheeks. You noticed all the Shirow signs which makes me feel that I accomplised what I set out to do down to the riffle with AP rounds. Thanks. I put that gun together (...)
