  Re: Pirate ROBRIQ

I'd like to build some, but the construction of the arms is eluding me : ( Soren, can we get some "how to" pics ? -JSM (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOCs

(...) Thanks. I used similar geometries (URL). (...) Well, if I can find four in dark grey, I'll fix that. (...) Thanks. (...) I think the possibilities for mom jokes were more what got him going.   Re: More from the braintrust.

(...) Ha ha ha! That is too much! I wouldn't even know where to begin making that thing! And I'd have to order a pneumatic tank to use as the gas can, no no, just won't work. As to the wedges on the legs, I ordered them thinking that they would be (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Making use of the saucer peices

(...) Thank you for your kind words. If you check out the rest of my brickshelf directory you’ll find several technic figure scale ships. The middle ship is a cross between an A-wing fighter and a formula-one racecar -- and is appropriately called (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Hi JP. Love the bionicle thingy, it's the rest of the ship that has to go. ;-) Just kidding. I think the problem is that it looks tacked on as an afterthought (even if it was the first thought.) And, it appears to interfere with the pilots (...)   Re: More from the braintrust.

(...) How about (URL) this one>? ;) That's a cool mech by the way. It's got plenty of character. I probably wouldn't have used the large wedges on the legs myself, but it seems to work. Does it take a figure, or just the brain in a jar? Cheers, (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: I have a project

(...) That's too bad. that ship was awesome. (...) I can't wait, are you going to do the building process like you did the Kal? (...) Thanks for your help, I'll start planning my ship pretty soon (...) Capt.Michael Hunter: CMO USS Excalibur Space (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: More from the braintrust.

(...) Thanks! I am considering what to make next. I've thought about maybe a dragonfly based transport ship, a centipede train, or some sort of beetle or ladybug bot whose carapce conceals missiles. Of course, we'll see if I can come up with the (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: More from the braintrust.

(...) Thanks! I am currently pondering what sort of insect based mech to make next. -Dan Rubin Chair of the Cyber-braintrust (URL) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: More from the braintrust.

(...) Thanks Ley, I appreciate the praise. I too was really happy with the printed wedges in this MOC, it looks alot better than it did with the plain ones. I have to be honest, I am somewhat obsessed with wedges in general right now. This thing is (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) I really like this ship. The harpoon and cable thing is cool, and I really like the way you made the rear thruster assembly. I also think that the blunt shape of the cockpit is very stylish. I must say that there's so little white on this (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Making use of the saucer peices

(...) This is pretty cool, very impressive to make any kind of ship for technic figs, and I really like the smoothness of this MOC. The ship in the middle of the group of three also looks interesting, I'd like to see some more pics of that. -Dan (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Great!! This is all about the 'playability' I drone on about all the time. It's simple design and fun main weapon is perfect. The angled thrusters give it ample design sophistication, and the pilot sled is fun too. Not too sure about the (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOCs

(...) Oooh! Bigger pic! Cool! Just email it. I'll color correct it on this end. Bigger is always better when it comes to dtpics. -Dave (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Thanks Soren! When starting this MOC, I had in mind your (URL) Purple Haze> and your pirate theme. Happy and proud you like it, he he! (...) You too? Damn, who else doesn't like this bionicle-greeble? Rumble rumble rumble, ok ok I'll try to (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

(...) Thanks a lot Ryan! (...) Oh? I am surprised you don't like it. I think it looks very "pirate". I used it as the most basic skull head I could find. Maybe I should try to make a small skull head made of more than one piece, looking more (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Making use of the saucer peices

Nice ship, technic fig sized as well. With the work you mention (greebling and colour coordination etc) it will be up there with the best. Tim (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

Cool. It's funky, it's sleek, I like! The grapple-missile looks nice, and the integration of the cable is top-notch. I agree with Ryan though, the Bionicle thing has got to go. Maybe it's the color, or the shape, but it looks really out of place. (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Pirate MOC : Mosquito

JPR...very cool creation you've shared here! Very convincing entry in the Pirate faction, the colors and general shape work well to fit it into the theme's standards. I love the capture hook, I'd hate to have my ship caught by a bunch of those. Some (...) (21 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
