Re: Working on a New Robriq

(disclaimer: I don't know what faction this is designed for... so I give away anything, I'm very sorry!) Hmm...for some reason, it looks kinda steampunkish to me. The large, skeletal arms look like there's some sort of pneumatic (I think that's the (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Working on a New Robriq

(...) That is soooo nifty. It's like how I pictured the aliens in 'War of the Worlds'. Actually, it strike an amazing resemblance to this briefly pictured mining droid thingie in the pilot miniseries of GI Joe. Cool. -G (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Proverb - Eastern Block Racer

(...) Awesome...what an amazing shape. I love how the fins on the back mirror the flared shape of the front intakes. And again, that canopy is a a joy and works so well here with the curves. It sounds crazy, but one of things I look most forward to (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Corellian "Corvette" in the Coruscant skyways

(...) Right on! Do you have any 1x6 lt.grey tiles instead of that plate? It looks like one stud of the 1x6 plate is holding up the side mirro - so how about doing a 1x4 tile and then a 1x2 plate, then but a 1x2 grille-tile on top of the exposed stud (...)   Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Thanks kindly, Paul...that wedge is a dream. I hope to use it a little more...and maybe one day get the designer speedboat to score the blue ones :) Aye...I had a few more pics, but couldn't post them. My webspace is positively bursting at the (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Thanks mang! What doesn't help much is my loser photos, taken by one with loser photography skills on a loser camera. The greens look even worse in this case. Glad to hear the aggressiveness came through - I was after something that would say (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Thanks Ken. I seem to use the tilt construction often (most would be correct in saying 'too often')...I like how it breaks up the main beam line of the ship. Greebs are a tough and new item for me....thanks for saying that they work in this (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Proverb - Eastern Block Racer

(...) I never thought that there could be a convincing Eastern Block racer, but Chris you have done it. Bravo! I love the landing gear. But over-all the shape is just great. It looks both sleek like a racer, but big and tough like the EB. awesome! (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) High praise from King Jade! Thanks man...this was a slow build actually. Only had short amounts of time here and there, but I think that made it a better product in the end. I have a tendency to try and overcomplicate my stuff..this was a (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Tzu flatter me, sir! And yes...that core is good for 28 trillion miles, or one Pledge Week. Oddly, the fueling techs all seem to wear togas...very odd bunch, those fueling techs. Thanks! -G (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Oh yeah...I am old skool all the way. I'm glad to see that my relatively new focus on making ships with a tip o' the hat to the old days came through...a great compliment! Thanks! Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Thanks Daniel. I really like taking inspiration from non-traditional sources...it helps keep my thinking fresh, although it does result in quite a few half finished stinkers that never make it to posting. Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: CivMoc Entry: Jade Empire speeder

(...) Right on. I was just thinking that I haven't seen a pod gull wing door as of yet...well now I have! I really like this as it's a nifty design that is relatively easy on parts, making it kit possible. How are the door arms hinged? Technic pins? (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Civilian MOC Contest Entry- "Barracuda"

(...) Really nice shape, Todd...that canopy is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Great to see blue making a comeback as well! Cheers, -Gil (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Proverb - Eastern Block Racer

(...) (URL) (...) Well done. Looks a bit retro-future with those curvy fins. Needs some headlights, though? Just looks like it needs a detail or two to me... Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: CivMoc Entry: Jade Empire speeder

(...) Nice work on the door. I think the green works fine from here. Who knows, maybe it works better - I've had a lot of trouble using sand green myself! Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire: Tzu Fighter Bomber

(...) Cool. Nice to see how popular the 3x12 wedge slope is. A couple more piccies wouldn't go astray - maybe a top-down view of the ship and a better look at the rear underside? Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Civilian MOC Contest Entry- "Barracuda"

(...) Very cool. Needs a bit of some other colour, though. I reckon it'd look great with a pair of white racing stripes along the top. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Osiris - Wow!

(...) That's just too big. No, seriously, I've had the opportunity in the past to make something that big and it's just a pain. You need the mother of all shelves to store it and you can't pick it up (unless it's full of cross-linked Technic maybe) (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
