-snip-
I was awed by your XB-202, so Im shocked to see this new and improved version.
The SNOT construction, studless skin, and cleaned up colour scheme are all
marvellous. The landing gear is a triumph of Technic engineering applied to
.space construction. The ailerons, canards, airbrakes, and etc. add realism to
an already impressive, serious MOC. I could go on and on, but I dont want to be
a bore. Simply put, this fighter is of the best creations Ive seen on .space in
quite some time now (last model that really impressed me was a space bus by Zac
Soden.
Now for my sole criticism: this fighter needs more ordnance!
While huge fighters are a cool concept, one that Paul Bauch took to new heights,
I imagine this XB-202a as more of a fighter/attack aircraft, if not exclusively
a bomber. For example, look at real life, the F-117 was designed to be a stealth
fighter, yet what it ended up being was really a fancy bomber. Thats why I wish
youd consider adding more explosive ornance under those wings. You could make
satellite-guided bombs, laser-guided bombs, television-guided bombs, dumb bombs,
etc. and slap them onto those wings. I think the XB-202a would look way cool
fully laden with bombs of all types. Kinda like a modern day F/A 18
multi-mission fighter/attack aircraft.
Just a thought.

| Mladen, I appreciate your comments, especially since your "Mammoth Next-Generation Hovertank" is one of my all-time favorite MOCs. It completely changed the way I think about color. More ordinance? I had originally designed the wings with two (...) (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

| Greetings, Some of you may remember the XB-202: (URL) was never totally satisfied with the wing design, and lately I have become annoyed with studs on surfaces. Since the wings use a modular plug-in design, I decided to try to make an alternate set (...) (21 years ago, 2-Mar-04, to lugnet.space) !
