    Hover Sleds —Elroy Davis
My girlfriend found a Bionicle mask on the floor where she works, so she stuffed it in her pocket and brought it home for me. I sat looking at it for a while, trying to figure out what to do with it, when I remembered all of the cool hover cars I'd (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

        Re: Hover Sleds —Andrew Engstrom
(...) Hey, cool! This is the best use anyone's come up with for a Bionicle mask to date. I love these little things! What's puzzling me is how you got the tail arrangements to stick together. Is it all connected, or is something held in by friction? (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

         Re: Hover Sleds —David Laswell
(...) It's interesting, but I've seen better uses. I've found that when you attach a Kanohi in an upright position, it's a little too recognizable as a face, and tends to detract from the overall look (unless it's intended to be used as a face, like (...)          Re: Hover Sleds —Elroy Davis
(...) That's almost exactly right! The 1x1 plate with clip (or whatever it's called), is one of my favorite pieces. In the place of the 2x2 corner plate that you suggested, I actually used a 1x2 plate, so it's only covering the back. The 2x2 corner (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Cute! I like the use of chairs. The grill tiles work well to mimic the openings in the masks. --Bram (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

In lugnet.space, Elroy Davis wrote: snippity (...) snip snip (...) Elroy, these are pretty cool. I think you did a good job making a decent use of the bionicle masks. Also, I really like the use of the minifig chairs as fins, some excellent snot! (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Welcome to .space Elroy. (We all find our way here sooner or later.) I think you've got a winner there (too bad there's no contest.) I especially Like what you did with the chairs and that's a very clever bit of SNOT. I was scratching my head (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

         Re: Hover Sleds —Elroy Davis
(...) Thanks for the welcome! (...) Sweet! I like the color-scheme. I had thought about playing with color a bit on the yellow sled that I did, but decided to go with a factory finished model. :-) (...) I found that I had to modify the front (...)          Re: Hover Sleds —David Laswell
(...) Don't hold your breath. Over 100 new pieces have been produced for the BIONICLE line in the first three years alone, and there aren't any signs that this trend will stop. Given the sheer number, the fact that most of them have highly curvy (...) (20 years ago, 29-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

        Re: Hover Sleds —Gil Shaw
(...) These are excellent....such a simple designt that works so well. And as Bram had mentioned, the SNOTted on classic chairs are ingenious. Love 'em. Cheers, -G (20 years ago, 1-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
