It would be cool to have...

A .space site like classic-castle.com Now, I'm not flaming or anything, but it would useful and cool to have a community site like that. Besides being a great resource for building, in the form of articles, and stuff like that, it would also (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Mirage

(...) Hey, Dan, very nice! This is a cool variation on the quarter-saucer theme. I wouldn't call it teeny- I guess all of my craft are microscopic, then- but it looks convincingly powerful, with those four blistering weapon pods, huge engine, and (...)   Re: Argent Supra

(...) Man..is that ever 'out there'. To be honest, when I first saw it in the thumbnail I recoiled a little bit due to the lime green....truly one of the hardest colours for me to get my head around. A closer look however reveals that the spire (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Mirage

(...) Excellent as usual, Dan. That engine is the clincher for me....it's chunky, but doesn't look garish...has a great sense of power to it. Cool. Cheers, -Gil (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: P-38 Contest entry: OR-38 SkipJack

(...) This hits all the hallmarks for me, John. Excellent clean and grouped colour scheme; nice use of angles (wings/engines) against the main body to break up the visual line; conservative and purposeful greeblings; economic element use. (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The MIFFLIN A.N.T.

(...) Hey, John, thats really cool! I've always liked small craft and this one is nifty. The cockpit works well here- a bubbly version of those old Blacktron II pods. The body is great, too- smooth, sleek, and simple. The part use is well thought (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Contest entry: OR-38 SkipJack

(...) Thanks! Yeah, those telophone parts are nifty. Never had any till I got the UCS Snowspeeder for Christmas... (URL) >> (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  The MIFFLIN A.N.T.

The MIFFLIN Alliance has developed a small craft for assisting large space-faring vessels in tight manuevers. Principly employed in ports, a few of these can also be used in cleaning up wreckage from collisions, especially if a vessel's propulsion (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Space Stickers

Hello, I just uploaded a PDF file of Space themed scans that I used to make stickers to turn some of my non patterned parts into space pieces. I thought that this might be useful for other space fans. (URL) It's 10 meg in size, so you might want to (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Mirage

Wow! I saw that earlier on BrickShelf. Very nice! Simple, elegant (the use of one main color, no printed slopes or bricks, not so many greebles), this ship looks very compact, pretty strong. Maybe massive... Cheers, JP. (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

  Mirage

Greetings! Here's a teeny attack craft I made: (URL) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space) !

  Re: Argent Supra

Hey Paul! Very impressive design and excellent presentation (please tell me you’ll save that landing bay for future MOCs!). You definitely are the king of the 3 X 12 slopes. I’m still struggled with what to do with the 4 I have. Those engines are (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC - PX-38 Thunder Clap (entry for P-38 contest)

(...) Cool little ship, but the coolest thing is it got you back building again. Sometimes, when inspiration is lacking, competitions like this provide just the right seed to prompt us to put bricks together. That's exactly where I was a couple of (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: IL-83 Thunderstrike: A P-38 Contest Entry

Re: Still looking for the beach - Space pick-up

Thanks Prof! I definitly find more inspiration in 40's and 50's cars and trucks than in recent designs. It also seems to be what's working in most of design studios, particulary with that kind of revival trend we see in concept cars and prototypes. (...)   Re: LL38 - P38 Lightning Contest Entry

(...) Yeah, I saw yours on the contest page. Neat. You went with a p-38 version of 891 whereas I went more with a 928/918 version. (...) I did try to restrict parts usage to parts from the era, but sometimes you just gotta do ;), and parts like the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Contest entry: OR-38 SkipJack

(...) mmmm. Smooth and white - one of my favourite looks. Nice one. Neat landing gear now I need to buy more telephones. Allister (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Argent Supra

(...) That's exactly what I thought when I first saw the pics on Brickshelf. (...) I like it, but... I think the printed slopes make it a little too busy. I think the design would look more cohesive if some of the slopes were Brassoed. For starters, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Solara Hovercar MOC

(...) Nice work! I really dig that use of plates to give that ribbed effect on top. And the engine looks really cool too. The car kind of reminds me of those 70's sci-fi "car of the future" efforts, the sort of cars Syd Mead would design. Cheers, (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Argent Supra

My love affair with the 3x12 wedge slope continues: (URL) Argent Supra This came out a bit more old-school than I intended. And a lot bigger (it sort of strains the boundaries of whooshability!). It was originally going to be an all-silver spaceship (...) (22 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!
