Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

Mark, or should I call you Brewmeister? Great ship, all the great details have been covered already in this thread, but I'd like to emphasize the profile, and of course the beer engine. My two complaints: I saw the pale ale, and the amber brew, but (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Now that I think of it, some of my best entrances have been with a beer in hand. It's like an old friend holding my hand. (snif) Thanks for the compliment. And if your base is having trouble getting shipments due to governed rations, thats (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thank you, you are to kind. (you're making me blush, he, he) I started this about the same time the moonbase standards were created and I wanted to be the first to create a ship that could dock with it. (woo hoo, little late huh?) As for the (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) My feelings exactly, beer and Lego go together like chocolate and peanut butter. I built it knowing that I wanted to play with it, so it hold together well. The 4 x 6 plate above the hatches, holds the whole thing together. Take that off and (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thanks. Actually the landing gear was the most frustrating part. I tried about four different types before I was happy. Having it work as the hatch lock was a coincidental bonus. -Captain John “aka Mark Mueller” Founder and Chairman of (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thank you for the complements. I'd also like to thank you for answering my questions in the past about details of your ships. You and the other great builders that are posted at the Shipyard inspired me to come out of the dark ages two years (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Yes I have. I would like to go to one. My schedule always seems to conflict with the meetings. Hopefully I make it someday. (...) Thanks a lot. Let me say this is my first COMPLETED MOC. I have tried other MOCs and scrapped them. I have (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thanks. It originally had the printed MF canopy. It didn't look right, so I rubbed the paint off a LOM one. (...) I already created one. I ran out of film before I got to him though. -Captain John “aka Mark Mueller” Founder and Chairman of (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thank you. The idea started with the beer containers and the wings. The shape kinda grew from the marine rifles in the "Aliens" movie. -Captain John “aka Mark Mueller” Founder and Chairman of StarBrew Brewing Co. (URL) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thanks Travis. It was a lot of fun building. I cought myself giggling quite a bit while making it. (...) Can you recommend a cheap one that takes good close-ups? (...) Thanks again for the kind words. I've got so many idea's and not enough (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) Thank you for the complements. Please steal away. I wouldn't have been able to build this without the ideas learned here in .space. Did that even make sense? Anyway, looking forward to seeing more from the Eastern Block. (...) Originally they (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: So, what are you guys working on?

(...) Hi John! Good to see that you're still building. Please show us your stuff soon, because I simply loved the Firebird and want to see more stuff like that! As for me: I have been building some stuff for my good guys, (URL) the New Templar (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: 4 new ships

(...) Hi, Alexander. Can't believe I almost missed these... (...) Nifty little ship, but a bit too blue for me. (...) I agree with Mark that it needs a beefed up bridge and that dishes should be at the front. Also, how does the pilot get in and out? (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

Welcome, Mark. The Starbrewer 1 is fantastic. The shape and details really come together well. The "playability" of it really appeals to me. And how can you go wrong with an ship that brings beer! Hope to see more from you in the future. (2 URLs) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Delurking and New MOC "StarBrewer 1"

(...) snip Hey, this is great! Nice overall shape. I like all the small functional details. I thought the landing gear was just a greeble until I saw it folded down for use. Very thought out. Daniel Rubin (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I know I don't post around here as often as I'd like, but I'm working on some neat stuff. Designing a long-range exploration craft in PCS style, it's about half done in MLCAD, it will be 2 to 3 feet long with a freely rotating midsection (like (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
