Okay, I think I’ve procrastinated long enough. Publicly unveiled at Brickfest 2003 and winning first place in the Moonbase category is this, the Rigel 7 Pleasure Planet.

It’s a 3 baseplate Moonbase megamodule in an L shape, designed to fit seamlessly with my Tycho Brahe Hotel. I finally decided to get off my duff and photograph it, so um, there you go. Gambling, eating, drinking, swimming, and laughing. What more could you ask for in a Moonbase module?

(...) Golly gee willikers! Such curves! I wish I could have been at BrickFest... Looks from the exterior pics there is another floor above the lounge? Is that just to house the motor for the sign? -Bill. (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Great interior detail, Adrian! I like the CS-styled landing pad too. I would have used tiles, but that's probably just me - it's handy to be able to connect 'figs to it. Really well done. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Woah. Cool module. Good job on the video games, pool tables and casino. I especially love what you did with all the decorated parts :) And anyone that owns that many of the 1x1 corner panels... :) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Thanks for the tour, Adrian. I didn't get a chance to see the interior at Brickfest. I like the Green goblins playing pool and the frightened craps player next to all the sandpeople. Excellent detailing. Pat Bunn (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) That is awesome. I really like how you made the "glass" dome. It must be that holo-morphic plating so it only looks like nothing is there. :-) The landing pad is very nice too. -Mike Petrucelli (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Wow, a casino moonbase. Wish I'd have thought of that. ;-) For reals, this thing is sweet. I've been waiting for you to do formal pics so I could see it all. Great, *great* slot machines. Love the gaming tables too. The interior looks very (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

That's a beautiful thing, Adrian. Exterior: Very attractive overall design with the three connected cylinders, and the Tycho-style windows-on-curved-walls once again looks great. Nice use of those 1x1 trans-red domed cylinder thingies around the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Waaaay too much to comment on! All I can say is 'WOW'. The over all shape is of course amazing, but the little things really make it stand out for me...the spiget on the bar, the craps table, the ATM. Just too cool. Wonderful stuff, man. (...) (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
