Hello All, From moocher to member in only 600+ days! Check's in the mail. I'm a member. On to the photos... I'm no scientist so I dunno if the physics of it all is right. But, I wanted to imagine that my ship could use space particles for fuel i.e. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) think of the idea. You pretty much reinvented the Bussard Ramjet, which scoops up hydrogen from space to turn into fusion fuel. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

Very groovy! I have never seen someone do a Bussard style engine on LUGNET before. very original! KUTGW! -Rick (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) This is very cool. I was just thinking of building a ship with a similar engine idea! I have always liked the Bussard ramjet engines, they seem to make more sense than the other science fiction tech out there. Well anyway, I think you pulled (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Kevin, Thanks for your input. I googled this "Bussard ramjet" guy and saw the theory. Very cool. I think I will rework the grills to scoop more space stuff :-) And yes, there's more photos to follow. This is fun! John (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Nice! I like the progession of the Big Blocker. The Bussard system is nice. I like all the detail of the steps. Very nice. You've done a good job keeping this big rectangle interesting. -JHK (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) The Bussard Ramjet is a ship that had a giant funnel on it to vacuum up the space matter and particles to use as fusion fuel... you can see it here: (URL) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) What? Rick, you know that a lot of my sub-caps used bussard ram scoops...they didn't have the space for excess -125 degree hydrogren slurry, and you have to go to warp or at least some appreciable % of speed of light to collect enough. Even (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)
