Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —John Henry Kruer
(...) Right on! I've always loved your scale work and this is great. The detail and 'natural' look it has. (URL) What lighting setup did you use? The picture is just perfect, the model not over-exposed but the background still 'pure' white. Any (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Stuart Immonen
(...) Cool, thanks! I tried... although I think I can improve upon the Type-1 black part. Stay tuned for updates! (...) Yes, in fact. I use Photoshop extensively, but try make the photograph as good as possible beforehand anyway. I usually shoot in (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Keith Goldman
Stuart, you have captured the phaser perfectly, right down to the dial on top of the phaser 1. I was wondering if the phaser1 can separate? Again, very cool moc. You should give the communicator or tricorder a shot. Lookout! Phaser on overload! (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Stuart Immonen
(...) Sadly, the Type-1 is a fixed part of the model as it stands. The structure through the back is under stress because the hinged walls do not precisely line up with the straight stud core, and it needs bracing through the centre. I'm working on (...)         Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Paul Baulch
(...) Nice one! I can just hear Kirk now: "we come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill..." Cheers, Paul (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Gil Shaw
(...) As a kid, I had one of the phasers that shot those little flying disks..back in the days before kids took eyes out, fired the things down their throats, etc. Loved that thing. This wonderful takes me right back to those carefree days. (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Patrick S. O'Donnell
(...) Gil, I remember those. Do you remember the candy called "Space Orbits"? They were very tiny jawbreakers that came in a box along with a straw so you can shoot them spit ball style. This was back in the late 70's. I wonder how many eyes they (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Stuart Immonen
(...) I had the Space:1999 version. And it never worked properly! I wish I could have taken an eye out... j/k (...) Indeed. thanks! stuart (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Joe Meno
(...) I did! Wow! I've been wanting to do a phaser for some time now, but hey, you did a great job. Some nice detail work here, from the body trim and grip surfaces to the wheel dial on the Type 1 clipped in...I, too, wonder if the Type 1 separates. (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Stuart Immonen
(...) no... sorry. But I'm working on it. Glad you approve-- I'd love to see how someone else might approach this model; it has so many interesting features, and has a smooth, complicated silhouette. Mine needs some improving yet... (...) Oooh! (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —David Koudys
(...) Yes but did you make a Type 1 that can be removed from the Type 2? (Showing my true Trek geekiness...) If you didn't, it's still a very wonderful creation! Nicely done! Dave K (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Stuart Immonen
(...) As I said above, the overall structure is under tension and wouldn't allow this to happen-- wait for Mark II! (...) phew! :^D Thanks for looking! stuart (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Tony Alexander
Iii...find yourrr...PHAser...an.....STUART!! Dammit, Jim, it's a MOC, not a phaser! For God's sake, man, where's your humanity? Humanity, Doctor, is not logical. I am thankful for the clean logic of the Brick...I find it quite...refreshing. Peace (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Patrick S. O'Donnell
(...) Great Job Stuart! With all this Star Trek related chatter I just had to add that wouldn't it be nice if our LEGO can multiply like Tribbles. Of course you can "replicate" a MOC. That wouldn't be much fun I'd imagine. Thanks for sharing! (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD —Kyle Beatty
(...) That is truly excellent work. I prefer it to the one I did a while back: (URL) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
