    An Ugly MOC —Leonard Hoffman
now (URL) "Duvernay" is an Akins Class Research Starship, customized for orbital anthropological research. The scientists of the Duvernay specialize in 'feral humans.' Feral humans were apart of the original exodus into space and crashed on (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Tim Courtney
Lenny - Don't be so down on yourself... we all have our off times. For what it's worth, I think it's a great attempt. I like how you tried to break up the box shape by using the sloped braces. While it probably didn't pan out the way you wanted, (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Leonard Hoffman
(...) why thanks tim. i feel like building it taught me alot. which is what is important.. there were several things i was trying (the red stripe, the inward slope walls, the detailed interior) that i think came out better than i expected. which is (...)         Re: An Ugly MOC —Tony Knaak
I think you should try more non-traditional building if you are not satisfied with this design. SNOT can do ALOT. Whoa new motto. Anyway, I'd say just experiment, most of my best MOCs come from taking a few parts and tring to figure out new and (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Leonard Hoffman
(...) the Duvernay Mk2 will feature more SNOT.. but mostly as detail. I'm not exactly sure how to make it structurally SNOT without going into it hardcore, like the Bardiel or something. That's why I LLOOVVEE it when people post construction picts (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Travis Kunce
wow... your right. that is ugly. I don't think I would have admitted making that, much less documented and posted it. I guess that if I had a suggestion, it might be to think less architecturally. This thing looks way more like a moonbase than an (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Leonard Hoffman
(...) ha ha ha! thanks for being honest! i figured i could use as much help (advice) as i could get.. aside, i wanted pictures of it for record anyway.. sooo (...) yeah. i think it comes from my past (present) with castle.. where virtually (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Jeff Szklennik
(...) It looks like a really cool design for a ship made from a converted cargo container, or an emergency escape vessel from a war-torn planet-very functional, small, & rugged. This is not meant to be a mean comment, that's just what it reminded me (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Adrian Drake
(...) Huh. I won't say anything mean, because, well, that's not constructive criticism. I will say (as someone else also mentioned) that this looks more architectural than spacefaring. Elaborate on the shape a bit and it would make a pretty nifty (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Patricia Van Dyke
I don't think this is ugly. 1. it looks like Noah's Ark 2. I like the way you achieved an angled front end it looks like you used tiles and hinges 3. I like the use of the old style windows 4. Modularity is always a plus to me 5. the angled brick (...) (22 years ago, 26-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: An Ugly MOC —Leonard Hoffman
you are too kind! but thanks for noticing all the cool things i attempted. thanks for the uplight! _lenny (...) (22 years ago, 28-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)
