This is about 90% done but I had to get a sneak peak up.

PTMWYT (so far)

Dang, this is just cool.  Dang cool.

to Seattle)

Heh, did I mention that I was talking with Dan P. about our layouts.  He
bumped up the area for the moonbase project from 40 sq/ft to 80 sq/ft.  I
just can't wait to see this thing all together.

I've started work on the first of my modules. Actually, I'm thinking of
sort of a double module (it will connect as two single modules, but I'm
thinking I need a double module for my monorail terminal).

I've also built my first MOC monorail train. I may get some pictures of
it up by the weekend. It's a Blacktron cargo train which can carry one
of my re-worked 6984 Invader cargo modules (or an original 6984 cargo
module). The battery box is partly concealed as another cargo module
(which you open the clamshell doors to access the power switch and to
adjust the optional sound module - oh, and the thing has flashing lights
also). The cabs at each end are basically Invader cockpits truncated a
little.

Unfortunately this means it needs 8-wide clearance (the clamshell hinges
stick out one stud past the 6 stud width of the cargo container). It's
also pretty tall, the highest point being the motor cover which is 5
plates taller than the top of the motor. The invader cockpit also means
it needs a lot of clearance on curves since they hang out 4 or 5 studs
over the end of the car plate. The clearance can be reduced somewhat by
removing the weaponry, or retracting it (at least I left of the wings,
that would have made a real clearance issue...).

I'm thinking of making a more sedate Blacktron passenger monorail train
which would fit in a 6 wide clearance, though it would still be as tall
since I would use the same motor cover. And if I get real ambitious, I
may make some other themed monorail trains (I have parts to make at
least 5 or 6 trains). Ice Planet 2002 anyone (I've got a bunch of trans
orange window glass...)? Actually, Ice Planet 2002 will probably be my
2nd module (complete with white baseplate which will violate the 4 studs
of clearance since I'll use an Ice Planet 2002 CRAPP surrounded on two
sides by 16x32 and 16x16 white baseplates (too bad we don't have white
8x16 baseplates - then the CRAPP could be kept in the center and have
proper clearance).

Oh, and the module is Blacktron also of course...
