I've frequently played with trying to build Federation and Klingon-style
ships, but have encountered much difficulty in capturing the ubiquitous smooth
bulbous hulls and thin struts at weird angles.  However, I'm sure it *can* be
done, and that there's an elegant solution waiting to be found.

Once, a long time ago (ie, a couple of years) I built a Klingon Bird of Prey
out of parts from a 6889 Recon Robot.  I guess it was to "microfig" scale,
although I certainly hadn't heard that term then. :D

Anyway, I thought it turned out fairly well.  I have often considered
re-creating it, but right now the pieces are all tied up in my BrikWars army,
and will probably remain so.

Has anyone found a way to do this yet?  'Cause I want to use the thin strut
design for my Shadow Battlecrab...

If someone could build one of these accurately, I'd be really impressed.

Black and brown pieces... hmm....
