Yes, that would be wonderful, except that The Lego Company would get sued
completely out of bussiness for breach of contract with Lucas Films, • because
they have already promised not to produce any other new futuristic space
themes while they hold a licence for Star Wars, and the contract for the
licencing is gonna last at least 6 years.

  Has this been confirmed? Last I heard, it was just a rumor.

(...) The version I heard from my source (a person who worked at Futura as part of the team that created the Star Wars sets!) the license forbids any type of 'flying spaceship'. So Lego could produce a non Star Wars 'space' set if it was a base, or (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.space)
