Thanks very much Paul...this really helps a lot.  There always seems to be a
danger of all-frame, no-guts with the larger sets...it sounds like it might
be the case here.  Considering the $170 ish Canuck price point...yikes.

There were some reports that this set was only $10 CDN more than the US
list price.  Even so, at $100 CDN, (must have been Walmart or Zellers,
DEFINITELY NOT TRU) it is highly debateable the actual value of the set.

The minifigs and droidekas probably make interesting playability, as well
as the base feature....the other stuff is probably there for younger fans,
however, I don't forsee a lot of kids getting this set any time soon, unless
their parents have money to burn.

As an adult collector, I would overlook the "playability" of the set, and
look for the overall features of the set.

IMO, the set looks wierd, but SW EP. II looks interesting at best....and
the model is supposed to look like the original.

I think white pieces are always essential for building, and think that
the dark red pieces are a nice addition....except I don't care too much
for the lime-green colors at the bottom.  They can loose this color
quickly I hope!!!

I also like the dark blue on the JF's Slave 1.

Other than that, I don't really see the real need for this set.  Piece wise
or otherwise.  If you really want Dark Red pieces, the Jet Starfighter might
be your bet.

I also really like the Tusken Raider set, both for unique mini-figs and for
some of the cooler, rare pieces at a decent price.
