  Re: New Space MOCs

(...) I think this was a very well thought out post Allister. let me reply to it. (...) it is really something that suits individual models. if you were building a sleek interstellar racer then you really wouldn't engreeble it. However if you were (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Space MOCs

This has been a fascinating discussion about the various pros and cons of greebling. I'm replying to the discussion in general, but posting in reply to this specific one mainly due Adrian's use of the phrase 'it's a little too engreebled'. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Delurk: The Black and Pointed Spacecraft

Hello to y'all! I've been hanging around on Lugnet for quite some time, enjoying your creations every day. I did some postings with the first Classic Space contest, but I doubt that anyone still remembers the entries. Time to change all that, it's (...)   Re: A Question of Size

(...) I agree. And I really wonder about the need to even try. Think of the term 'drop ship' referring to the one seen in Aliens. Total complement? I believe it was less than a dozen if you include the Colonial Marines, Ripley and the pilot and (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  USS James Jessiman Revamp

This is the 2nd flagship out of 21 for the Universal Star Command. It is a prototype ship based on the Truth and Reconciliation from the Xbox game Halo. Tribute to the creator of LDraw. Original idea by me...design by Jim Mcdonald. Here's the deep (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad)

  Re: The Quasar

(...) That's what I was trying for. :) (...) Hehe, thanks! The SRM Launcher (the unfolding part) was the hardest part to build, due to the fact that it had to fit in just right, or it wouldn't come out. (...) Curt Tigges ~~---...---~~ Home: (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A Question of Size

(...) Hmmm.... "A Heavy Spacecraft weighs between 15 and 50 tons..."? (and many others) Weighs? In space? Cheers Richie Dulin (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

(...) Well, I didn't originally intend for it to look like that, it just... got that way, hehehe. But I guess it's shape doesn't really matter, since its intended only for space. (...) Thank you. The only way I was able to get it that way is because (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Space MOCs

(...) Hey, thanks! I can imagine this very well as a corvette, which I believe was a sort of escort. A large fleet of my Tankers sorrounded by the Heavy Fighter... Sounds cool. Partrol boat is also cool. I can imagine fighters taking rounds (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Space MOCs

(...) It's a fleebnork! :) To be more specific, it's a fleebnork power source. The fleeb's energy field is used to power the bike. (...) I'm liking the term corvette, this seems a little small for a destroyer. I would think of a destroyer as around (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

That's very cool. The melding of slopes in this is nice, and you've done a good job on making this believably wingless. The engine structure on the back gives a nice feel to this, and the lifting part out of the compartment is just plain brilliant. (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: The Quasar

(...) also pleasing, for a ship without distinct wings. I like your combination of slopes on the top/rear to give it a smoothness and a sense of bulk in a small area. I imagine a squadron of several of these would look nice swooshing down to (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Space MOCs

(...) Hey JHK! I don't have a lot of time left online today, so I will have to be brief. Just wanted to say I like your stuff as usual. Not a big fan of the hover-bike thing, but I do like the compartment in the rear and how it hinges open. Is that (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: A Question of Size

Tony, Thanks for the link. This is really informative. But my post was meant to refer to specifically LEGO space creations (the way 'SHIP' is a lugnet term, not an actual scifi term) - in other words, developing a vocabulary for subSHIP lego (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
