New MOC: Luna Spire Moonbase Super-module

After I built the original Luna Tower, I got a few great suggestions for improvement, including making the top revolve. In order to include working elevators and a rotating top, I had to start over from scratch and work much bigger. This second (...) (...) The catagories are interesting. I'm not sure weight is the way to go since it's dependant upon the gravitational effect of the current location. If you think converting between US and metric is bad, just wait until you have to convert Mars (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  My 'Bot Factory Creations

Well, since my time for building has become limited ((URL) I've thrown together a portable 'bot factory of my own so that I can take advantage of my lunch time. I'm still working on figuring out what pieces actually need to be in it and which ones (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: PA003 Power Armor

(...) Hi TK. True, definitely raw and industrial, very WWII. At first I disliked Maschinen Krieger but when I kept looking at related websites I began to "acquire a taste for it". (...) Thanks for the inspiration for the arms. When I saw your (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: PA003 Power Armor

(...) Hey Stuart, thanks. (...) You are right, I had a hardtime getting the "feel" of MASCHINEN KRIEGER because of the small scale. I am still looking at other ways of doing this PA but I was anxious to hear what you guys though of it so far. Glad (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: A space physics question

(...) Great job on the .space page so far! A few points first: - in the absence of gravity, the force on the pulleys will only exist if the object in tow is continuously accelerating.   Re: Arcane family home, moonbase module week 5 and 6 update.

Once more with better details. (...) Hmm. Actually the gate was in the ship the whole time. It's part of Duel's long term goal. To be able to return home someday. It's still a mystery to all the other citizens at the moonbase why they would travel (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: PA003 Power Armor

(...) This is very very neat-- I love the arm joints! It's so tough to get the shapes you want at small scale; this is an incredible use of highly specialized pieces. Great job! stuart (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

<<snip>> Oh no, you made me want to build space ships too! I don't have the time for all the stuff I want to build. Better jot it down in the pipeline. Thanks for the inspiration, it's a fine ship! I laughed when I saw the casette recorder in pic (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

(...) Nice work! That is a pretty big ship. I like how you formed the engines. The control center is keen as well. Do the escape hatches actually detach? They look neat nonetheless. Overall, great work, I look forward to your next big ship. -Jason (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space)

  Re: A space physics question

Great reply. I've got to resolve this. Sorry I let it go but I was trying to keep my weird idea under wraps...not very cool considering how much interest I drummed up.   Some great Space info and dicussion

Both these articles are very interesting as well as informative to all the spacers here.   Re: PA003 Power Armor

David I have run across the Maschinen Krieger stuff before and I have to say that I get a kick out of them every time! They are really raw and industrial! You suit is great.   Re: System Defense Boat "Sulu"

First of all ditto to what everyone else said. This is a fine ship. I reckon anyone that has the patience (not to mentions the piece count) to build a ship this large deserves much kudos no matter what it looks like. But to do it with such obvious (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) this announcement. Having seen this in the flesh, I'm afraid the photos don't do it proper justice. The predominantly white with a touch of purple is a winning colour scheme I reckon, but hard to see in the overall picture. Perhaps if it was (...)
