| | | | Rob, Yes, the MicroScout needs the light tube. The Scout, on the other hand, should work with the IR tower. As I stated in my previous message, I have absolutly no problems downloading NQC code to my Scout using BricxCC and the IR tower. I think the (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Here's what I found out about the Scout and the USB tower: If you are Programming the Scout in NQC or using the Brixc Command Center, the USB tower and the Scout will communicate just fine. They work well but I have to set the USB IR Tower range to short (through the control panel of my WINDOWS 98) for downloading NQC programs. Otherwise, (...)
