  Re: Scout & PocketPC

(...) There is a Windows CE Program called Sky commander that provides IR functionalities. The program allows you to custom design a remote controller using bitmap files and then use learning functions for the buttons. I have successfully used it to (...)   Re: Scout Booster Set

An IR tower from Ebay is the best bet, indeed. Or buy from Pitsco. Then get yourself a copy of NQC (or MacNQC). That's what i've done. I've augmented my original Robotics Discovery Set with pieces from several Technic sets, several purchases from (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Palm Pilot & Scout

I heard that it was possible to control the Scout with a palm pilot. How is this done? Thank You, Greg Ericksen (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Booster Set

(...) A printed sheet packed in the Robotics Discovery Set #9735 box with the Scout offers the follow promise: "In late 2000, LEGO MINDSTORMS will release a booster pack that will let your Scout work with your PC. The booster pack will let you (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Booster Set

Hi, I had the same question, and I wrote to Mindstorms support just the other day. I basicly asked: should I buy the IR tower ($30) from (URL) -or- wait until some kit/upgrade becomes available. I'll let you know what I hear. Rick. (25 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Scout Booster Set

What ever happened to this? Was it ever issued? Did the Scout SDK take its place? (25 years ago, 23-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Scout & PocketPC

I have heard that there are ways to control your Scout or Micro Scout using a PalmOS device. Has anyone managed to get a PocketPC to do the same? (25 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.robotics.microscout)

Re: More Building Instructions for Scout?

(...) I wouldn't say it's withering per say, it's more like it never really grew. It's whopping 400 bytes of user memory REALLY hampers it's abilities. Plus it's locked into it's current firmware and with it's limited ports it's destined to be a (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.books)

Re: More Building Instructions for Scout?

(...) It almost seems as if the Scout is "withering on the vine." It's a cool little PBrick but there doesn't seem to be much specifically target at the Scout and the RDS. I have found that many of the models shown in the Mindstorms books can be (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.books)
