When using the Datalogging feature of Robolab 2.0, the generated programs automatically set the RCX powerdown time to zero when starting datalogging, and set it back to the last value set in the Administrator/RCX Settings when the program ends. (...) to (...) Ben Erwin kindly explained these to me. This feature is part of Robolab 2.0 extras. When the extras are installed (using Project/Install Extras), in Functions/Modifiers the control is called Container.CTL. Once this is dragged to the (...) The Robolab 2.0 examples on the CD included with Dave Baum's book Definitive Guide to Lego Mindstorms contains the program scanbot2nqcextra.vi. Does anyone know of a second source for the new sensors the RCX now supports? These would be the DCP microsense sensors. Robolab 2.0 is out, and the software is much improved. Robolab 2.0 now supports more programming structures, more sensors (sound, ph, etc.), and the RCX datalogging feature. I'm using ROBOLAB 1.5 on MacOS 9, using it to teach undergrad and grad students in design about interactive behaviors. I'd like to create printouts of some sample programs I have developed. Thanks for the reply, I really enjoyed your book. My son (age 13) also enjoyed it. He's starting out using ROBOLAB, but your book has sparked an interest in C (like) programming. I had a similar problem and suggested used the three cable method you mentioned with great success. Before I tried this I sent an inquiry to Dacta and got this response "There is an issue with some Macintosh serial ports that we are currently (...) Some people have been reporting an "Error of Type II" when they try to install ROBOLAB onto a machine with OS9.
