What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Mark Overmars
Dear RcxCC users, I am running out of ideas of what to add to Rcx Command Center. So I like to ask you what you like to see next. Please be as specific as you can. In particular, I have heard a number of people making remarks about tools for (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Matthew Miller
     (...) I'd like to see a linux version. (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Dave Baum
(...) I was considering writing an RCX bytecode simulator. If I get some free time I'll throw something together. Considering the last simulator I wrote was for an ARM 7111 with about a dozen on-chip peripherals, modeling the RCX bytecode (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Terry King
Mark, even though it's "Not Quite RcxCC", are you open to more 'features' in your tutorial "Programming Lego Robots using NQC" ?? (Looking for URL... mmmm..) found at: (URL) is more related to the 'Education' stuff we've been talking about (and will (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Lars Fuchs
(...) Well, I think RcxCC is just great. Thanks for making it. And esp., thanks for wanting to make it better. Interfacing w/windows programs would be great, but I would be happy with something simpler: a facility to send and receive IR messages (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Lars Fuchs
Dear Mark (and fellow readers) Sorry for jumping the gun - I just saw that RcxCC 3.0 has ability to send messages to RCX. Thanks again - Lars (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Vlad Dumitrescu
Hi! well, I am missing something in an otherwise great RcxCC... Variable values display in dec/hex/binary would be great, as converting by hand every time is tedious. thanks /Vlad (25 years ago, 22-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Uwe Denzer
(...) First of all, thanks a lot for making RcxCC. I'm a newbie (owning my RIS since X-mas), but I already love NQC and RcxCC. There's just one little feature that I missed: remembering the last-used path for source files between sessions. Ah yes, (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Marc Klein
(...) Thank you Mark for your great tool. Several things could improve Rcx CC. - An indentation of selected lines with Tab or Shift+Tab like in Visual C++ editor. When a lines are selected, Tab inserts tabs at the beginning of the lines, and (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Neal Oden
(...) Thanks, Mark, for providing this wonderful environment. I would like to echo a previous request for remembering last-used source-file paths between sessions. Also, how about letting RccxCC "host" alternative line editors? (25 years ago, 1-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Harald Striepe
How about a more generalized interface to the pbForth system. Although Ralph Hempel believes this to be unnecessary, I find the RcxCC interface quite appealing. Harald Striepe (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Uwe Denzer
(...) After spending another two nights with NQC & RcxCC (:-), another wish came up in my mind quite clearly: I use the "Watching the RCX" tool window quite frequently for debugging, and I'd find it great if it could display the *names* of the (...)          Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Mike Kory
You can also choose "show code/error listing" under the compile menu to get the variable assignments.          Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Uwe Denzer
(...) Oops, that's right. I completely overlooked this. Thanks for the hint. So, my previous suggestion is quite pointless. Please ignore it. Sorry. Uwe (25 years ago, 3-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Mark Rendle
1: a default template file, so that standard includes and defines, a main task and other things that tend to be used in all programs can be added automatically from the New command. I realise I could just create one and then Open and Save As, but we (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: What should be in the next version of RcxCC —Vlad Dumitrescu
(...) Maybe this was already posted: the color coding doesn't work for multiline macros. (because of that, I thought for a while that they weren't even legal in NQC!) thanks /Vlad (25 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)
