Count me in. I'm ditching the Tcl interface - it's just too damn goofy!
A standard firmware downloader would be great - especially if it ran on
all platforms. As far As I know, Dave Baum is the only guy here who
has got a downloader for the Mac!
If a stripped down loader was available for:
DOS
WIN3.1
WIN9x
WIN2K
Linux
Solaris
Mac PPC
Mac 68K
We'd have all of the bases covered (for pbForth anyways). To make it
easier, maybe Dave could publish the source and others could do the ports to
their favorite machine or OS?
Then Dave could get back any source mods and adjust the sources until we
could build from (almost) common source. I've got lotsa experience with
multi-platform embedded systems and would be willing to help with the
makefiles...

I can certainly add the approriate quad-speed stuff into NQC, and can also make a stand-alone version if Mac users are using pbFORTH or something (...)
