With much respect, I would suggest that CRC8 is probably not sufficient, especially if we go for a broadcast (Ethernet) solution, where lots of collisions, and hence errors, will probably occur - with CRC8 you will probably miss about 1 in 256 (...) FYI: The simple-rover example uses an unsafe test value for touch sensors. Touch sensor should be tested against <0xf000, NOT <0x2000 (e.g. simple-rover.c) Reason: Not pressed has a constant value >0xf000. Pressed varies depending on battery change, (...)
