| | Re: remote control and rcx -- Download Failures
| Several people report download failures at about 75% of way through downloading the 2.0 firmware. This problem could be related to using one of the "quad" speed downloading routines available in many of the alternative development systems. The (...) | | Re: USB IR tower support in Lunix
| Hi, I got the USB IR-tower to work under linux using the same patch Florian used. I also sent an updated patch that applies to 0.2.6.09 to the original author of the patch. However I have to caution that the said patch only works with UHCI hubs that (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: Blocking The Lego Remote?
| (...) This is a very basic problem with the whole LEGO IR protocol -- you can't address a specific RCX/Scout without also reaching every other brick in the room. I believe this is the reason why the RCX has the short-range IR setting. The approach I (...) (24 years ago, 27-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| | Re: LNPd keeps sending TX_FAILURE
| I don't use LNPd or BrickOS so I don't know if this will work. It makes all sorts of problems go away when using the RCX ROM message handling routines, I don't know how much of the ROM routines are used by LNPd or whether, if it doesn't, it has (...)
