Re: NQC Ignores based on your pbrink

(...) This first define (__RCX = 2) will happen automatically in NQC when you select RCX 2.0 as the target for compilation. Selecting an RCX 1.0 target will cause the symbol to be defined as 1. (...)   Re: time sampling under the rcx standard OS

Thank you Matt, the RCX loops much faster with your advices : about 10 loops per second. But as this frequency depends on the calculations included in the loop, I’m afraid this will not be enough. So I tried to download (URL) but it just appears as (...) (19 years ago, 18-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: A/C Adapter for RCX 1.0

(...) Wait, are you saying the RCX runs on AC power? You are right that the 12V adapter I got puts out AC. I didn't notice that before -- I thought it was an AC to DC converter. Then I checked my train adapter, and it's identical to the one I just (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, FTX)

  Re: How much memory finally?

(...) I believe it has a 16K ROM and 32K SRAM. Within the 32K, 16K is occupied by the 'firmware' downloaded to the RCX. About 6K is reserved for bytecode program space and the datalog. Presumably the rest is working memory for the firmware (stack, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Connecting a non-Lego motor with external battery to the RCX

(...) If the motor runs on 9V anyway, just hook it up to RCX directly (assuming it only draws 500ma). If it needs more than that, hook an external battery up to it via a power transistor (either bipolar or FET). You'll need a resistor in series with (...) Hi! Could anyone please explain a little how the dynamic loading facility works in legOS? I don't seem to get at full grip on it... and I can't test it either, right now... Here's the latest update. Hope we will get a clear picture of this #@$@ memory after all.
