  Re: Extending IR communications

In terms of power requirements and battery life, has anyone here actually quantified how much of a difference that makes? Its a damn good idea - as long as you have white, and relatively flat ceilings. If you dont want/are not able to reposition (...) (19 years ago, 6-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi I build allready a bluetooth connection between the pc and the rcx . The bluetooth module (BTM-222) supports the spp serial protocoll only for 4800 or higher baudrates. But it is cheap in comparsion to other ones. Costs about 14 Euros. Look here (...) (16 years ago, 29-Apr-08, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

RE: time sampling under the rcx standard OS

Here are some comments on how to improve your code for real-time performance. 1. Move the "SetUserDisplay" out of the loop and put it just before the loop. 2. I think the "OnFwd" macro is actually two instructions: "Fwd" and then "On". Replace this (...) (19 years ago, 17-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

64bit driver for the LEGO USB Tower

Is it safe to say that LEGO will not be creating a 64bit driver for the USB Tower? Is there anyone here that could? What would it take? It would be really nice to have one before LEGO completely drops support for the RCX system. (16 years ago, 16-Jan-09, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) Well, there were a couple of typos, but only one I found that was critical. If you are using a "max-picking LIDAR" method, you do *not* want to divide by the number of samples. Patch 10: This works for me under Cygwin with a USB tower, but some of the files such as rcx_comm.c have a bit of platform-specific code.
