(...) Well, there were a couple of typos, but only one I found that was critical. If you are using a "max-picking LIDAR" method, you do *not* want to divide by the number of samples. Hi, I'm running brickOS(0.2.6.10.6-1) on my debian (kernel2.6.8) using the /lib/modules/2.6.8-3...sbtower.ko driver for the usbtower(robotics inventions 2.0 - RCX2.0). The 'usual' way to get status data is to poll the the RCX memory for status information, but you can't do that because of the number of RCX bricks; so how about getting each RCX to send a response message (or series of messages) to the PC encoding (...) Hello folks. Just got my RIS2.0 from Target and installed the Lego GUI based thing. I've also installed legOS in Win98 and linux and I'm getting ready to start hacking but I have a few questions. I can't hook up my ir tower to my new laptop, and the IR tower for MS 2.0 is not due out for another six weeks!!!!!!! (...) Do you mean that you have used the Lego Mindostorms IR tower through this adapter? If so, the Belkin USB dockstation might be worth looking at, as it also has a parallel port and 3 usb ports. In theory - this could work. The Linux IR project folks have had success with using laptop IR ports as remote control devices, but the range is short, and the viewing angle rather limited too.. Hi, I want to send some data between my PC (Suse Linux 9.0) and the RCX-Unit (Brickos 0.2.6). I thought LNP would do the thing, and so I downloaded and installed it.   NQC 2.4 r1 released
 
It seems like NQC 2.4 has been stuck in beta test for a very long time...I wanted to wait for Mac OS 9 and Linux USB support, but at the moment Lego hasn't released their Mac OS 9 driver and the Linux situation is probably best addressed right now (...)
