  Re: USB, Windows, legOS

I tried the patch and still get the error "Error 6 GetCommState". Anyone know what this error means and what I can do to correct it? I would really like to get legOS running. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: LinuxPPC and "No response from RCX" problem

(...) Perhaps timing is a problem. Try: nqc -t 1000 -raw 10 This forces a longer (1 second) timeout per packet instead of the dynamic retry timing. Is the output any different?   advice for game of tag?

Hi, I've got 2 bots that I want to play tag with each other. The challenge is that I want them to see each other at a distance. I'm working on some code to combine the IR ports with the light sensors (which can detect IR) as follows: 1) each sends (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Lightsensor

Hi all, as a newbie I have a problem in the training center with my new 1.5 RIS. The lightsensor shows only a range of 37/47 in view-mode between black and white. (and so it doesn´t beep) Is this normal or due to a msfunction of the sensor ? Thomas (24 years ago, 25-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Just some really basic questions...

Okay, I'm really new to the whole NQC thing and have visited Amazon and ordered a couple books, but I've got some rather high level, I guess for lack of a better term, questions... So, your listening code should send a keep-alive on a regular basis to keep the tower from dying. No way around it :| Luis ---...--- "It's (...) This seems like a problem with nqc on LinuxPPC 3Q99, but I can't understand quite what it is as the tower obviously works - the green light is visible (...) Luis, I can do a quick HOWTO (though it'll only cover Linux) & post this patch. I think it'd be useful, anyway. It applies cleanly to 0.2.5 as well.   Re: OmniRemote and Mindstorms Update

From what I've been able to figure, you need to bypass the irDA queue on the Palm to send straight bits over the IR port. This is possible by going to the hardware itself. OmniRemote can do it, and so can we (if we figure out how!). It's been in my (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)
