Back when everybody was reverse engineering the RCX software, did anybody figure out the code that is used to convert the a/d value into a temperature? (26 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I put some info on what I have found using a camera with the Mars Expansion Pack on my small web pages. The USB cable is not a good umbilical, stiff. I had to abandon one scanning platform design just because the cable tension kept stalling it out. (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I'm pretty sure that i have used the feature in the software w/o a problem to set the autoshut to another time interval, including never shutting off. I know this doesn't exactly answer the question, but maybe its a bug somewhere that will resolve (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) It is possible in RIS and Robolab to change the powerdown set-up option without downloading this value to the RCX. If this is the case, the RCX will continue to obey the last downloaded powerdown value despite what you see in the set-up (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi, My RCX shuts off automatically after about 5 min. The set-up options in the RCX software tells me its set for 15. Is this min. or sec.? I'm pretty sure the batteries are fine...it also shut down when using an adapter. Is there something else I (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

There are two different versions of the RCX. Unfortunately, they are both labeled "RCX 1.0". The one that comes with the Robotics Invention System 1.0 has a power adapter input and the one that comes with RIS 1.5 does not. It is possible to use (...)
