  Re: Black

(...) True, I was shocked at all the colors that were "white". I think part of this is due to the poor quality of the construction paper. Close examination indicates a fair amount of unstained fiber, for instance the black read a lousy 47, compared (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Black

(...) Keep in mind that the light sensor generates a red light, so you're really measuring the reflectivity of the target in the red part of the spectrum. Thus red is as reflective as white (some of the other results, e.g lavendar, are still pretty (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Black

I attempted to do the "black vinyl between LED and sensor" modification that Ralph Hempel documents on his site, but I was unable to get the vinyl to slide between the LED and the sensor (too tight a fit). So I used a small wire (toothpick would do (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  lego photo scanner...

has anyone thought of an advantage to using two light sensors in the basic photo scanner robot that people have built. I'm working on one right now (mostly the vb programming right now for the pc side and pqc for the rcx). i have two kits to use, so (...)   Black

Since I am currently working on line following, I did some tests with the Lego active light sensor. I mounted one on a small test cart pointing down a bit more than 1/8 inch above the "ground". The 1.5 test pad reads white 57 black 38 green 46 I (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: sending keepalive... ???

Hi Rossz (...) Yes, I downloaded the legOS.srec on top of the existing Lego firmware and some programs. When you download the legOS firmware will anything currently in RAM be deleted? I'll try taking the batteries out for a while and starting again. (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Bug in WinlegOS installer

In my rush to get the package released I made "one more insignificant change". This resulted in a bad path setting being placed in the autoexec.bat file. At the end of the install skip rebooting and open autoexec.bat in the editor. The installer (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: more user questions

Thanks, your directions worked perfectly. (...) Originally, the line appended to autoexec.bat was (something like): set path=set path=c:\LEGOS\H8\BIN...ath%%path% which I altered to: set path=c:\LEGOS\H8\BIN...BIN;%path% (26 years ago, 26-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
