I am working on a program that uses RoboLab 2.9 with the camera. When I open the Vision Center I get an image but when I run my program I get no image just black then a speckled image. My son really liked the book "Building Robots with Lego Mindstorms" by Ferrari, Ferrari, and Hempel, because it teaches design principles, rather than just giving step-by-step instructions. (17 years ago, 27-Mar-08, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I am attempting to turn the reflective light on and off periodically. It works fine in RobotC. Recently, I've bought WiiMote (Nintendo Wii Controller), which can be tethered to a regular PC via Bluetooth. You can then use for example this library - (URL) - to read WiiMote buttons, IR and accelerometer data. I've combined this with a simple (...) (17 years ago, 27-Jan-08, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

If your IR tower still functions, and it's just a matter of not having a serial port, the simplest solution would be to just buy an adapter that will allow you to hook up a serial device to a USB port.
