  Pbforth probs

Hi. After reading the web pages, word lists, help, tutorials, I still wonder how to control SERVO MOTORS with PBForth. I tried the SERVO_SET command but it says "ABORTED (missing ;?)" What does it mean? How can I interprete the syntax explained on (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: Sensor inputs of RCX

Hi Andreas, (...) this is the pwoer supply for active sensors (light and rotation). It is interrupted briefly every 3ms to sample the value of the sensor. (...) It is done by the microcontroller, every 3ms the OCIA interrupt routine turns off the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Sensor inputs of RCX

(...) Hi Andreas, Sensor inputs can be configured two ways: 1. Passive - sensor does not need power to operate 2. Active - sensor needs power to operate Active sensor ports put out aproximately 7V most of the time, and drop the voltage (every 3ms?) (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Sensor inputs of RCX

Hi, I'm interested in the electronical function of the three sensor inputs of the RCX. I took an osilloscope and measured the voltage of the ports. So I got to know that a rectangular signal is put on the sensor ports when they are activated by (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

BrickOS on Mac OS X (restarted ?)

11 months ago, there was a thread in this newsgroup dealing with the implementation of BrickOS on Mac OS X. I was just wondering whether the situation had changed since then. I've downloaded M. Zapp's port of the GCC cross-compiler and tools, have (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Using the RCX for animating LEGO Train displays?

NGLTC (and other train club) members have been getting creative with their mindstorms. 1) Rail Racers! 2) Lewis Valentine has made a working train drawbridge on the NGLTC layout. It's taken him a lot of tinkering, but it works very well! 3) Street (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) What can you do with an RCX? That doesn't sound very off-topic. :) (...) One name to start with: Brian Alano. He's a member of IndyLUG, and he's done some amusement park rides, and things like that. (...) Most of these things you can ask about (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Communication Speed, PC -> RCX, LEJOS!

(...) Hi Roger, Thank you for your help, it is a bit strange that you dont see any problems, since it is the same protocols we are using. I dont think the joystick is the problem since I have the same problem with inputs from keyboard or mouse, but (...)   pneumatic trouble

Kevin- I am trying to build a heavy duty automatic truck transmission, and I have a few questions concerning pneumatics. 1) I did a few rough sketches of what the transmission would look like (the main part of it is the valve, which I originally (...)
