  Links and Resources

Does anyone know how I can get leJOS mentioned in the Links and Resources section of the lugnet.robotics.rcx.java homepage? Thanks, (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

Re: new RoboLab 2.5 compatible with old serial IR tower & RCX 1.0

1) If you have a serial tower, there is no reason I can think of to purchase the USB tower. If you use a USB tower, then you will need the USB support that Robolab 2.5 provides. 2) The hardware differences between the 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 bricks are (...)   Re: Light sensor initialization time?

I suspect this is due to the fact that the first sample from the sensor is actually being obtained while the sensor's reservoir capacitor is still charging. Why don't you try a simple test, actually two tests; 1. Initialise as passive sensor Wait 1 (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Light sensor initialization time?

Hellow! Here a little fact: the first reading on the light sensor _just_ after you have activated it is too high. It seems like one has to wait a little after activating the sensor. The following program shows it rather nicely: ____START OF CODE____ (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

(...) Depending on the relationship you have with your local grocery or butcher shop, they have very accurate scales that will measure to 1 gram = usually for free! You can also find scales at candy stores in malls... Hope this helps, Ralph (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Mass and other spec's for RCX components

Does anyone has measurements for the mass of Mindstorms components (in grams)? I am particularly interested in the mass of the RCX brick (with batteries), the gearmotors, and the motorcycle-style wheels/tires. I am having a remarkably hard time (...)   RIS 2.0 support for Scout?

Does the software in RIS 2.0 (set 3804 and upgrade kit set 3805) support the Scout? Just wondering because (URL) says that RoboLab 2.5 supports the Scout. (23 years ago, 26-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

Re: Does anyone have an extra usb IR tower for sale?

I'm working on a kernel mode driver for Linux for the IR Tower. Overall from everything I've figured out, this is just a USB Serial device; porting code in win32 from COM1 (Serial interface from old serial one) -> LEGOTOWER1 (The USB Tower device (...) Hi Paul, (...) Hmmm... can you please post your code for that? I tried it this weekend (I found it here: (URL) but I couldn't quite get it to work. Did you activate the sensor? Regards, Martin (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Re: NQC 2.3 r1 for Win32 W/ USB Support

A power adapter port? As in an AC/DC plug on the RCX? I've heard the RCX1.0 has them but I didn't see one on my RCX 2.0 (says RCX 2.0 on the top too, all fancy like..heh). I'll check tonite when I get home, but I dont think there is one. "Dean (...) (23 years ago, 24-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Do many people want EmuLegOS Windows LNP support
