Re: NQC in Boston University Linux :)

(...) cool :) Heh, did you look at 6.2 yet? I installed it today, though I haven't noticed any major difference yet... :) Dan btw, since you're at BU, have you ever heard of Three Kingdoms, or more commonly, 3K? ;) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

NQC in Boston University Linux :)

So, when we release BU Linux R1 next Tuesday [1], it will be the first [2] Linux distribution to ship with NQC included. (URL), if you care. [1] or maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully Tuesday. Depends on the wheels of bureaucracy. [2] not (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: P-brick Script code terminology

Conrad, LEGO does refer to series of commands as 'stacks'. This comes from the Robotics Invention System RCX Code interface where a program is a literal 'stack' of instruction blocks; those who haven't used RCX Code much wouldn't recognize the (...)   Re: How can RIS talk to Cybermaster

(...) Two ways I know. 1. There is a program for the PC that will translate the Radio signal into IR and back again. 2. Take a connector and put it on the motor port of the master unit and put it to a sensor port. Now toggle the master unit's motor (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Mindstorms RIS 1.5 (9747) price?

My sense is that future versions (say in time for Christmas) will have new firmware, but the new firmware will also be available to current users. I'd say you got a good deal. At DM 109, even the Droid kit is a good deal, not even counting the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Mindstorms RIS 1.5 (9747) price?

Hi. Is this set gonna be replaced in the near future? I just picked up two sets for DM 199 (about USD 100) each here in Germany. All other stores I called today asked between 399 and 449. The Droid Dev kit sold for DM 109 in that store. Frank (24 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: LNP problems detected

Who is maintaining the LNP code right now? Not the stuff in the kernel, but the desktop tools? It'd be great if we could wrap that up into a package and put the source into CVS.   Re: Robolab 2.0

I had the same problem with a single-user copy ordered in the UK. The Dacta catalogue had the wrong part number in it for RoboLab 2.0. It said it was part # 2000050, but it should have been 2000051. I called the supplier and they sent version 2.0 (...) (25 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)
