Just thought people might like to know I have developed a piece of Palm Software called Robotic Mover which allows you to remotely control your RCX. Unlike the other available software, This does actually use the built in infrared port of the Palm (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

(...) Oops! I must have mistook the 'wireless' word and imagined the IR part... It connects to the BUS port on the bottom. Rather interesting really. Seems it's a 1.3~ mhz serial bus. I was reading about these yesterday. They appear to have a serial port: (URL) anyone who understands these things able to get it to interact with our friend the RCX? The short answer is it doesn't really matter.....'cause none of the Palm or Handspring units really work directly with the RCX. If there is a Holy Grail to this robotics/Palm group, it would be the successful programming of the Palm IrDA port to (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics.palm, lugnet.robotics)

Got some specs for the SV200 controller board that the PPRK uses: The SV203 is a Microchip PIC16C73 microcontroller based servo motor controller board. LRemote uses the same IR codes as the LEGO remote does. It is still worth trying to train OmniRemote that way though. With OmniRemote, doing the same thing in a different way can make a big difference. I don't know why. Train some buttons and see (...) (26 years ago, 15-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.palm)
