I just received some extra money and now have $110 to spend on Lego sets and pieces. I'm looking to get something new and was wondering what users thought of the DDK and how it compares to other MindStorms sets. I realize the RIS is probably the (...) (...) The DDK is a great set for parts if you find one on clearance for $50 or less. At full price I'd avoid it (since Target clearance RIS is $119 and RDS is even less). The Droid developer kit certainly isnt worth it if you are a avid mindstorms user. It is desinged for younger children (officaly 9-12, but some 7 or 8 year old could do fine with it). Well, I give my thanks to you guys for sharing your honest opinion of a set. I was a bit leery of getting this set as the elements are all built-in and you are not able to rearrange anything to your liking. I've decided that for my money, I'm best (...) BTW, that's 8735, not 8375, hehe. I'm full of mistakes lately, huh?
