for edification, Oriol reported that the problem was loading the wrong pcode... -Fred ------- Forwarded Message (28 years ago, 17-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Servo information

Can somebody tell me the power requirements for a SANWA SRM-101 servo that I took from a RC car ? Thanks Oriol (28 years ago, 16-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: -POWER GLITCH- message

(...) One possibility: make sure you have loaded pcode_hb.s19 onto the board, and *not* pcoder22.s19. I've reloaded the correct version of the IC into the HB and it looks like it works fine. Thanks again Oriol ------- End of Forwarded Message (28 years ago, 16-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: -POWER GLITCH- message

One possibility: make sure you have loaded pcode_hb.s19 onto the board, and *not* pcoder22.s19. when you say "even if I don't move the HB at all after runing for a few seconds the HB usually crashes" do you mean, it crashes with the "-POWER GLITCH-" (...)   -POWER GLITCH- message

The Handyboard seamed to work fine for the last few days. Sudently today I got this -POWER GLITCH- message when runing the HB with just IC loaded in it. What does it mean ??? I thought it could be a loose connection or something similar but even if (...) (28 years ago, 16-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Dallas 1202 for example, or other models from dallas semi. The data sheets are on their web site ((URL) from memory) There is a example of code for the stamp at: (URL) Seront, seront@seism1.ess.sunysb.edu (MIME ok) (URL) (28 years ago, 14-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Musings regarding Handyboard Expansion & Interfacing

(...) One of them "smart sockets" (I think dallas makes 'em). Put it in under the RAM chip, no extra wiring necessary. Just some special code :-). (28 years ago, 14-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Musings regarding Handyboard Expansion & Interfacing

Just got Aug issue of Circuit Cellar. Full of robotics goodies & interface circuits .   Re: Pulse Accumulator

(...) How long did it work before? Have you checked the solder and socket connections of the chips in the circuit? Sometimes chips shift in their sockets and incur additional impedance in a connection, causing problems. Is your board subject to (...) (28 years ago, 12-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Pulse Accumulator

Hello everyone, The pulse accumulator on my handyboard no longer is working. It was working fine, and then the next minute it just stopped... Can I just reaplce the HC11 to fix the problem? Thanks.. joeo@symtec.com (28 years ago, 12-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Servo question

(...) One thing to note, not all servos are designed to turn 180degrees. The ones designated as "retract servos" are designed to turn 180 degrees, the rest are designed for something around 90degrees. Most can be modified to turn as far as you want (...)   Pulse Accumulator

My Pulse Accumulator no longer works... Does anyone know how to fix it? I was using it to measure RPM, and it was working fine...the next minute it just completely stopped working... Can I just replace the HC11? Thanks.. Joeo (28 years ago, 12-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: piggyback pentium/powerPC

(...) Try looking for embedded PC systems. The motherboard are sometimes roughly the size of the HB. You may have to buy controller board also to drive a hard drive or a Solid state disk. Expensive stuff! The good thing about some embedded systems (...) (28 years ago, 12-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Servo question

(...) You need to go into the servo.c file, and adjust the minimum and maximum frequencies the servo can handle. If you open servo.c, you'll find instructions as to how to do this. You pretty much just have to adjust the program to suit your servo, (...) (28 years ago, 10-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Servo question

hello everyone I'm playing around with a servo on the HB. i loaded all the progs and got it to twirl, but it won't do a full 180 degrees. i'm just using the servo() command. i suppose servo(1400) is supposed to point it 0degress, but it points about (...)
