Hi, I can only speak for the GP2D02: voltage requirement 5 volts very low power range 10cm to 80cm beam width at maximum range is about 1cm 1 input bit and 1 output bit required Cheaper, smaller ,less power, and easier to hook up than sonar I see it (...) Has anyone hooked two servo motors up to one input? I have a project that requires three servos, but two are an identical pulse. I was going to hook those two up as servo_a7 and run a 1000-1200mA current at 6 volts. I'm thinking that will give me (...) (28 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hello all: I have to ask this question: I am using a Rug Warrior Pro board and handyboard. Could the Sharp GP2d02 or the Hamatmtsu P5507 be used on the Rug Warrior as well. More specifically : What are the voltage requirements of these two? What are (...) (28 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

To all: I am currently constructing a Handy Board. Am I currently at the step (with the Handy Board) of testing it with the Interface/Charger board. The tests I performed earlier on the charger worked, and the tests so far with the Handy Board have (...) (28 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I'm not an ASCII artist, so I'll attempt a verbal description. View the P5587 with the emitter/detector side facing you and have two pins on the left and three on the right. In this position pin-1 is in the upper left corner, pin-2 in the lower (...) (28 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Thanks Barry, great work. I do have one little question: As I read the data sheet of the GP2D02 ( (URL) ) I saw some timing specifications that i think are not taken care of in your software. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The timing chart shows (...) (28 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Use the TIC port 2 or 3. The precision of the reading you'll get is 0.5 us. About a year ago I posted some drivers to make such measurements.
